Someone who has inspired us recently is Matt Cutts, a TED presenter and computer scientist, who took up a 30 Day well-being challenge to do all the things he wanted to do! If you haven’t seen it, you can watch Matt’s video at the bottom of this page.
Following in Matt’s footsteps and many others before him, I am inviting you to join us in setting your own 30 Day well-being challenge. I’ll be doing my own and hope that it will be fun, exciting and something to talk about!
I was tempted to set multiple challenges, but then I thought of what Rick Hanson says, Just One Thing. I am going to take his advice on this and set my first challenge to walk 5km every day for the next 30 days. This will definitely get me out of my comfort zone on the chilly winter mornings! I would rather be in bed, but I do know that my beautiful dogs will be thrilled!
Key things to remember while you are on this well-being challenge:
- Be Bold, Be Strong! Stick with it!
- Choose challenges that matter to you.
- Some days may be more difficult than others, and this will pass.
- Look after yourself.
