At Mindful Counselling Australia, we adopt Carl Rogers’ client-centred philosophy and work from a humanistic and trauma informed model of care. We respect what you are experiencing and value safety, trustworthiness, choice, collaboration and empowerment when working with you. Our priority is to genuinely listen to you and build trust in our working relationship.
Life can be challenging at times. When we are faced with challenges we may feel alone, ‘stuck’, confused or feel that our well-being is being compromised. If you are or have been impacted by stress, anxiety, depression, grief, loss or trauma, or are experiencing domestic violence or sexual violence we can help you.
As professional grief and loss counsellors we take a systematic approach to working with you and at the same time respect your journey through to recovery. We adopt a recovery model of care and use several evidence-based frameworks, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness based interventions when working with our clients.
We have also begun trialling Virtual Reality Therapy to help treat various forms of anxiety.
